Purchase Options

At The Nearside Saddlery & Outfitters, we offer several ways to make your purchase easy and convenient:

  • In-Store Purchases: Pay in full at the time of purchase using cash, card, or approved payment methods.

  • Lay-By: Available for selected in-store purchases. A deposit of 20% is required, with the balance payable within 8 weeks, unless otherwise agreed.

  • Online Orders: Orders placed via social media, phone, or direct message require full payment prior to dispatch.

  • Special Orders: Custom or non-stocked items require a minimum 50% deposit at the time of order.


Cancellations & Changes

  • In-Store & Online Orders: Orders may be cancelled before payment or dispatch. Once an order has been processed or shipped, cancellations cannot be accepted.

  • Lay-By Orders: If a lay-by is cancelled, a $20 cancellation fee or 20% of the total purchase price (whichever is greater) may be retained to cover administration and restocking costs.

  • Special Orders: Deposits on special orders are non-refundable once the order has been placed with the supplier.

  • Pre-Orders: If stock delays occur, customers will be notified. You may cancel for a full refund only if the order has not yet been processed with the supplier.


Refunds & Exchanges

Refunds or exchanges are provided in line with Australian Consumer Law for faulty, damaged, or incorrectly supplied goods.
Change-of-mind refunds are not available on:

  • Special orders

  • Sale or clearance items

  • Used or worn goods

Exchanges for change of mind may be offered at our discretion, provided items are returned in original condition with proof of purchase within 14 days.
